Beecher Crouse’s quest for the perfect balance of cotton comfort and wool warmth lead to the creation of the Duofold® brand. Now known as the base layer category, it all began with Duofold® in 1906. Duofold® sought to add to the rich heritage by pairing with Champion®, continuing the tradition of innovative products. Now, you can fulfill our outdoor passions without distractions in the Originals and Varitherm® collections. Your greatest adventures lie ahead in 2015 with these collections shielding you from the elements. Duofold® is continuing the tradition of innovation with the new KCB series that combines two distinct technologies. The first of these utilizes HeiQ’s adaptive technology. When your body heat rises, this technology speeds the rate of evaporation to keep you dry and comfortable. In times of lower activity, the brushed back material helps keep body heat next to your skin. Also, Duofold® is expanding their THERmatrixTM fabric, which uses textured fabric inside to keep you warm. The texture creates hollow spaces that trap air in place creating a thermal layer without adding bulk. The part that touches skin is designed to wick moisture away where it can evaporate quickly. Despite continuing to innovate, Duofold® never forgets the roots of the brand either and continues to produce the Original Duofold® gear, including the union suit.
